Office Manager​/Bookkeeper

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a company to bring an Office Manager/Bookkeeper onto their team. This position will report to the business manager and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office: billing, cash application, purchasing, shipment follow up, and other tasks as needed. This contract position is estimated to be a 4-6 month opportunity located in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

- Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, help with collection of past due balance

- Accounts Payable: invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

- Reaching out to Carriers on logistics of shipments

- Create purchase orders & track/order office supplies

- Preparing monthly journal entries

- Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

- Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

- Additional ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

- AA or BA/BS in Accounting or related

- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP software system (Quick Books, Peachtree, etc.)

- Deep understanding of accounts receivable & accounts payable

- Account & bank reconciliation experience

- General ledger experience highly desired
