About the OpportunityWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team in St. Paul on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, transactional environment and enjoys keeping AP processes moving smoothly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities- Process 400+ invoices weekly with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain a fully paperless AP environment using digital tools and workflow systems.
- Enter and code invoices, verify approvals, and prepare payments.
- Work daily in Microsoft Outlook
, Teams
, and other internal office systems. - Leverage keyboard shortcuts and optimized workflows to manage high volume efficiently.
- Collaborate regularly with cross‑functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure deadlines are met for weekly and monthly AP cycles.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requests when needed.
- Minimum 11,000 KPH (keystrokes per hour)—must be comfortable working quickly and accurately.
- Prior accounting experience with a solid conceptual understanding of Accounts Payable
. - Comfortable in a high-volume, transactional AP role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience with AP software or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite
. - Reliable, consistent, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, collaborative working style.
- Ability to adapt to digital workflows and paperless environments.
