Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain company cash records, including bank account reconciliations.
  • Maintain GL account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. This includes investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare and post journal entries on assigned accounting areas, mainly in cash, payables & payroll.
  • Support accounts payable and procurement teams in review of daily transactions.
  • Identify and propose process improvements & support the implementation of on-going process improvement initiatives where applicable.
  • Miscellaneous accounting projects and tasks as needed, including support of annual audit.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Task oriented with attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in accounting, preferably in a mid-size to large business - preferred.
  • Mid-Level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) - preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data gathering, sorting, filtering, etc. from ERP systems - preferred.
  • Experience with integrated ERP Systems for input and management of business transactions - preferred.
