Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description

Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at a growing organization in Arden Hills! The main duties of this position include full cycle accounts receivable, including making collection calls to consumers and businesses, maintaining cash receipts journal, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will experience with Quick Books and the ability to easily learn new systems. Based out of the East Metro, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will be a contract position.

Responsibilities:

- Applies cash receipts in US dollars and other foreign currencies

- Balances and reconciles general ledger cash account for receipts daily

- Investigates and resolves customer discrepancies

- Regularly calls and informs customers of past due accounts

- Makes inquiries on customer payment status

- Adheres to company credit and collection standards

- Coordinates corrective actions w/ customer service for pricing/billing errors

- Assists w/ accounts payable as needed

- Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed

Requirements

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

- Knowledgeable of ERP systems

- Great attention to detail

- Comprehensive knowledge of accounts receivable

- Deep understanding of credit collections

- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
