We are a small, established technology company in the Twin Cities seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team in a key operational role.

The role includes direct mentorship and collaboration with an experienced Controller as part of a planned long-term transition.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform payroll functions accurately and on schedule
- Maintain daily cash position reporting and related spreadsheets
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accurately and completely
- Conduct account reconciliations as needed
- Process accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and processing invoices and payments
- Manage accounts receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Prepare monthly commission reports for payroll processing
- Prepare sales and use tax filings for multiple states (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Assist with financial reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting data
- Help ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Assist with benefits administration and related recordkeeping
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Work closely with company leadership and external accounting partners as needed

- Prior bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or small-business financial operations experience
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Experience with sales and use tax filings preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is helpful but not required
Equivalent practical experience is valued.
