Accounting Assistant – St. Paul, MN (hybrid). Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for accounting records.
Job Responsibilities- Create and maintain vendor database, updating demographics, banking details (international and domestic), and tax identification details.
- AP problem‑solving: investigate payment discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and maintain group mailboxes.
- AR problem‑solving: investigate receipt discrepancies, client inquiries, and maintain group mailboxes.
- Run and compile weekly AP aging reports.
- Run the AR deferred revenue report and provide to billing managers.
- Audit employee expense reports per policy.
- Review account coding of Sartell freight invoices and forward for approvals.
- Download freight invoices from UPS and Fed Ex portals.
- Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers with account‑related questions.
- Provide month‑end pre‑close reporting for Alliance and Oracle.
- Compile audit case details for audit requests.
- 3+ years of accounting data entry experience with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Previous experience with Oracle Accounting Software or other accounting systems.
- Ability to support internal clients by addressing requests, resolving issues, and ensuring timely service delivery.
- Quick learner who adapts to new systems, processes, and tools.
- Solid knowledge of AR and AP processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
Competitive pay range: $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience and expertise.
