LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently partnering with a well established, privately held manufacturing company with over 40 years of success and a strong, loyal client base. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to step into a standalone role following the retirement of a long‑tenured employee. This position is the sole accounting and finance professional, working closely with ownership and the Manager of Operations.
This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys variety in their day, having your work effect the business directly and to be part of a close knit "family-like" environment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing industry roots and about 10+ years of experience. This position is permanent placement and will pay between $90K and $118K annually DOE.
Job Duties- Oversee ALL accounting and finance functions for the business
- Posting, maintaining and reconciling the general ledger
- AP/AR functions to include collections
- Commission calculations
- Balance sheet accounts and month end close
- All bank and GL discrepancies
- Journal entries for depreciation, accrued and prepaid expenses
- Audit payroll and timesheet entry
- Support HR functions; compliance, benefit coordination
- Support budget preparation, monitoring, and analysis of revenues and expenditures
- Collaborate with leadership on department planning, process improvements, and business initiatives
- Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental and company operations
- 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing industry experience HIGHLY preferred
- AA or BA in Accounting HIGHLY preferred
- Having been the SOLE accountant within a small business a PLUS
- HR and Payroll experience a PLUS
- SAGE ERP experience a PLUS
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across all areas of the business
- Ability to be hands‑on and have competing priorities
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
$90,000.00 to $ per year
