Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing construction/service organization seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and project analysis. This individual will work closely with leadership and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data, support decision-making, and drive process improvements.

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analyze job costs, WIP schedules, project profitability, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare financial statements and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project performance.
• Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with job costing and WIP reporting preferred.
• Public accounting foundation strongly preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
