Grants Accountant

• Account for all grant funds and prepare financial reports for grants awarded to the Judicial Branch
• Ensure grant reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with grant agreements
• Provide financial analysis to advise grant managers on budgets, ongoing expenditures, and matching requirements
• Monitor grant onboarding and post-award requirements
• Re-engineer processes and review procedures to meet federal and state controls and requirements
• Lead statewide grant meetings
• Perform grant budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting to support grant managers and federal compliance

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, public administration, business administration or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in grant management, court administration, or public administration
• Equivalent number of years of related experience may substitute for education requirements
• Knowledge of grant accounting and administration
• Experience in court administration
• Experience with Minnesota’s statewide accounting system, SWIFT
• Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of court administration
• Knowledge of grant writing, reporting and compliance measures
• Strong analytical skills for internal grant reporting and statistics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Required criminal background check

Demonstrates expertise in grant management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with federal and state regulations. Proficient in utilizing Minnesota's SWIFT accounting system and possesses strong analytical and communication skills to support grant managers effectively.
