Heisler Kopp Executive Search has been engaged by our client to identify a Director of Accounting. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven accounting leader with significant SEC reporting experience to join a growing organization and play a key role in driving financial excellence, operational effectiveness, and business performance.

Reporting to senior leadership, the Director of Accounting will lead the accounting function with a particular focus on financial reporting, SEC compliance, internal controls, and the continued development of a high-performing accounting organization. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial reporting processes.

• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead SEC reporting activities and support public company compliance requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance.
• Partner with executive and operational leaders to support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance processes.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory compliance activities.

• Significant experience leading SEC reporting activities, including preparation and review of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other public company filings.
• Strong understanding of public company compliance requirements and regulatory reporting standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Excellent communication, business partnering, and problem-solving skills.
