The purpose of this position is to support the operation of inserting, driving, folding, metering, OCR, and ink‑jet equipment. This role is designed to develop proficiency in all aspects of Central Mail and to provide assistance wherever needed. Additionally, the position works closely with Inserter Lead and the OASP to operate a variety of machines that enable Central Mail to achieve its operational goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Basic computer knowledge to learn and operate necessary software.
  • Data entry skills or experience sufficient to input data quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to transport up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, carry, and push/pull.
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacks, mailing machines, and other equipment necessary to perform job functions.
  • Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating and maintaining mail inserting machines.
  • Experience with mail processing using a metering machine or the use of a scale to weight and verify the cost of mail.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations, discount postal prices, required paperwork or data files to ensure mail acceptance by the USPS.
Physical Requirements

A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL (CRT TEST REQUIREMENT MINIMUM IS LIGHT-MEDIUM, EX: ABLE TO LIFT 13-21 LBS FREQUENTLY 100-300 REPS AN HOUR).
