Summer Lodging Administrative Assistant

Position Compensation: $12.50 per hour

Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Students that work 30+ hours per week are eligible for free lunch!

Position

Summary

To assist in helping to meet the needs of campus guests by providing a comfortable lodging experience while they visit campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service for lodging guests
  • Assist with check in and check out of campus guests
  • Communicate with guests needing assistance
  • Answer phones and direct emails as needed
  • Assist in administrative, hospitality, and daily operations of lodging
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications
  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

    Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.

    Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.

    Skills:

    Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Written & Verbal Communication:
    Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Background Check:
    Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
Work Environment

The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
