Data Entry Specialist (Temporary)

Location:

St. Paul, MN (Onsite)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Duration: 3-6 Month Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Specialist to support our Accounts Payable team during a short-term project. In this role, you'll be responsible for entering and validating invoice data, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure payments are processed efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong data entry skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter invoice information into the accounting system.
  • Review invoices to ensure coding, approvals, and supporting documentation are complete.
  • Verify data and identify discrepancies for correction.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records.
  • Assist with weekly payment processing and check runs.
  • Respond to internal questions regarding invoice status and data accuracy.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and other departments to support efficient processing of invoices.
  • Help maintain data integrity and support overall workflow objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong data entry skills, including both 10-key and alphanumeric entry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable learning new software and systems.
  • Basic accounting, administrative, or invoice processing experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
