The Court of Administrative Hearings (CAH) seeks to hire a Court Operations Associate in our St. Paul office. CAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts with over 75 full-time employees located in St. Paul and Duluth. CAH hears cases for over 250 state agencies and local units of government in over 200 unique areas of administrative law and is Minnesota’s workers’ compensation trial court.

CAH renders justice through fair, timely and impartial hearings and high-quality dispute resolution services.

The Court Operations Associate position provides high-quality, advanced level clerical support evaluating new workers’ compensation court cases and processing associated documents filed with CAH requiring discretion and independent judgement in maintaining accurate court records.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and processing cases for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Minnesota rules and statutes.
  • Maintaining and updating parties of record.
  • Generating notices.
  • Analyzing and processing eFiled documents, identifying specific requirements, and indicating appropriate information in the C-Track case management system.
  • Providing accurate responses to public or agency case inquiries.

This is a hybrid work opportunity; employees must work a minimum of five (5) days in the office per pay period (every 2 weeks).

Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

  • Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers over the phone, via email, and through other written or electronic correspondence.
  • Ability to accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data.
  • Document and records management sufficient to accurately file and categorize electronic documents.
  • Database management sufficient to enter and retrieve data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Strong organization and planning skills to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of C-Track case management system.
  • General knowledge of the State of Minnesota’s workers’ compensation system.
Physical Requirements

This is a sedentary position. Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and laptops or accounting boxes. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
