This announcement is filling two vacancies within the Office of Financial Management.  These positions are located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to telework full-time, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to establish a telework arrangement with their supervisor. Expectations regarding on-site presence will be determined by business need, agency policy, or as directed by the supervisor.

The position is responsible for processing customer numbers and invoices on damage claims in the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) system. This includes processing and maintaining electronic claim files; calling insurance companies to report claims; auditing deposits; troubleshooting problems; and performing administrative duties related to cash accounting and accounts receivable. Lastly, this position will follow up on past due invoices and send them to the MN Department of Revenue when necessary.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Knowledge of accounts receivable and computerized billing system sufficient to enter and access information and identify and correct errors.

+ Skills in accounting sufficient to reconcile difference between invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and assess needs based on data and events affecting the account.

+ Skills in database management sufficient to enter and retrieve data.

+ Skills in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.

+ Ability to communicate in a variety of formats to gather and relay information with tact and diplomacy.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + SWIFT (aka: People Soft) experience processing invoices.

Experience with claims processing and insurance companies.
