Job Summary

MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.

This position will administer the agency workers’ compensation program regionally for the Metro District by providing claim management expertise and to support the program on a statewide basis. To ensure employees receive the appropriate benefits and maintain agency compliance with Minnesota state statutes and rules.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Two years of professional experience in the following areas:

  • Current disability case management practice and techniques
  • ADA-AA, FMLA
  • Medical terminology sufficient to understand and analyze workers’ compensation reports
  • Legal terminology sufficient to understand judges’ decisions and related workers compensation related legal activities
  • MN Managed Care Rules, practices, policies and procedures sufficient to understand and explain the process by which cases are reviewed and decisions reached.
  • Software experience such as spreadsheets, word processing, and database management systems
  • Mathematical skills sufficient to administer the Leave Supplement Program
