+ Employees living within 50 miles of the primary work location will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month.

+ Employees may reside outside of the state of Minnesota if they live in a bordering state and are within 50 miles of the primary work location.
* This position is part-time (50%) intermittent.
This position provides professional program level administrative and management support to the Department of Labor and Industry's Office of Combative Sports (OCS). Responsibilities include OCS administrative duties, licensing of combatants and officials, event coordination and management assistance to ensure combatant safety and events that are conducted in a safe and healthy manner consistent with the law. Performs other duties as assigned.
** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Two years of advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, professional or technical experience which demonstrates:
+ Analysis skills sufficient to coordinate the analysis of OCS license applications to ensure they comply with statutory and rule requirements.
+ Ability to apply program specific regulations/requirements
+ Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools to develop procedural manuals, provide summary reports, utilize spreadsheets and calendaring.
+ Human relations skills to effectively create and maintain ongoing working relationships with DLI staff, combatants, event promoters, judges/officials and general public.
+ Organizational skills to successfully manage multiple program responsibilities at a time.
+ Financial skills to coordinate receipt of revenues and ensure all financial paperwork is complete and submitted timely.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience in the Combative Sports industry.
+ Qualitative and quantitative skills--sufficient to collect and analyze program related data.
+ Language skills other than English (such as Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Karen or ASL).
