Administrative Assistant; Temporary

About the Job

The University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) is seeking a proactive, solution-oriented professional for a temporary administrative role providing operational support to our frontline fundraising team. Intended to maintain operational continuity during staff vacancies and upcoming leaves of absence, this role will support fundraising staff across various University units. Day-to-day duties will flex based on evolving team needs, ranging from foundational administrative tasks to higher-level project management.

Twin Cities

• Calendar & Travel:
  Oversee scheduling for assigned fundraising staff and coordinate travel logistics and associated expense reporting.
• Event & Meeting Logistics:
  Coordinate vendors, catering, and materials for donor and team meetings.
• Data & Systems:
  Manage donor data entry, queries, and record maintenance within UMF systems.
• General Operations:
  Draft correspondence, manage mailings, and assist with special project work as needed.

Hours:

Up to 35 hours/week (regular business hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Duration: 3-6 months

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00/hour

• High School Diploma/GED and at least four years of related administrative experience.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience handling confidential data and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $32.00/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
