AboutThe Role
NXC Imaging is a service provider of capital diagnostic imaging equipment. We are seeking a Parts and Refurbishment Technician to support our warehouse and refurbishment operations. This role is responsible for the refurbishment of CT systems, harvesting components from decommissioned equipment, and testing and evaluating warranty/exchange parts. It is a warehouse‑based position working closely with Service and Operations.
What You’ll Do- Refurbish diagnostic imaging equipment—primarily CT systems—by performing staging, inspection, cleaning, mechanical/electrical adjustments, part replacement, and functional verification.
- Harvest usable components from decommissioned equipment following internal documentation and safety requirements.
- Test, evaluate, and validate warranty and exchange parts to determine condition, performance, and suitability for reuse.
- Accurately document refurbishment, testing, and evaluation activities in ERP systems, service logs, and quality records.
- Follow quality standards, refurbishment procedures, and all regulatory and safety protocols, including ESD handling.
- Assist with organized storage, labeling, and movement of parts within the warehouse and technical workspace.
- Communicate part issues, failures, and recommendations to Service and Operations teams.
- Support general warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and parts.
- Assist Service team with preventative maintenance activities when scheduling allows.
- Comply with all NXC policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- AAS in Biomedical Electronics or equivalent training or experience.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment (CT, MRI, X‑ray) or similar electro‑mechanical systems.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, or electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency with computers and basic software applications.
- Must be a self‑starter and willing to work in a team environment.
- Perform specialized or technical work with unclear guidelines. Work is often analytical and involved, requiring judgment where policies and methods are not well‑established.
- Ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
