Indirect Strategic Buyer – Radiometer
Role
Summary:
The Indirect Strategic Buyer is responsible for executing procurement functions, establishing supply agreements, supporting procurement financial objectives, and improving supplier performance. Reports to the Procurement Manager. On-site role in New Brighton, MN.
- Ensure availability of assigned parts and minimize risk exposure.
- Support on‑time delivery through Supplier Quality Management and Dynamic Kanban systems.
- Support procurement team in supply chain financial objectives (PPV, DPO, OTD, and Funnels).
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers for continuous year‑over‑year improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Maintain and monitor Item Master data; revise essential system planning data to ensure Axapta planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Self‑starter ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
- 5 years procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Up to 10% travel, including international travel.
- Sound problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP or ISM CPSM certification.
Annual salary range: $85,000–$95,000. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
