The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Connected Worker Product Leader, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world as you build a new connected worker business venture. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Defining and communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap for connected safety solutions
- Serving as the connective link between engineering, design, sales, marketing and executive stakeholders – keeping everyone aligned on priorities and goals
- Conducting market and customer analysis to deeply understand industry trends, competitor moves, and customer needs
- Developing and maintaining product roadmaps to prioritize development based on customer and business value
- Creating clear, actionable product requirements to deliver customer value
- Tracking and analyzing performance indicators to ensure the product is delivering intended value
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Eight (8) years of experience in product management in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, engineering, marketing or related field
- Comfort operating in ambiguity - this is a 0-to-1 environment within a larger organization
- Strong strategic thinking to connect near decisions to the broader product and business vision
- Experience translating market and customer research into product decisions
- Working knowledge of industrial SaaS and/or connected (hardware-software) solutions
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Data fluency to define and track KPIs/OKRs to measure product success
Work location:
- This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel:
May include up to 10%
