Senior Legal Analyst II, Contracts
The Senior Legal Analyst II, Contracts owns the key, strategic and high-value negotiations of non-standard revenue contracts. You work directly with Sales, Clients, Attorneys, and other business partners to find solutions for bespoke client contracts, including any technical, security, sustainability or other documents that a client may require. You serve as the dedicated, named lead on Indeed's most complex and high-value accounts, managing relevant relationships, coordinating all parties' engagement, and ensuring prompt risk recommendations from intake through to execution.
You drive each deal to completion ensuring quick turnaround of all involved parties.
You become skilled in Indeed products suite and contract rules, partner resources relevant to contracts and excel in project-managing custom contracts to ensure all relevant business partners input and alignment. This includes leading multi-round redline cycles, AI and technology clause negotiations, and bespoke client paper across a concurrent portfolio of strategic and urgent deals. You are equally comfortable closing deals at pace and leading high-stakes, executive-involved negotiations where risk judgment and self-directed decision-making are critical.
You understand that your turnaround speed, deal quality, and judgment directly impact revenue and you take ownership of that. This role requires a track record in meeting KPIs, improving processes, and influencing other parties and the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity.
- Lead significant operational and cross-functional initiatives that improve Legal team efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
- Design and implement forward-looking solutions, workflows, playbooks, and process improvements to solve complex operational challenges across teams or departments.
- Lead major projects from planning through execution, adoption, and measurement, using data to demonstrate impact and identify opportunities for further improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to legal risk owners and business stakeholders on large, complex, or high-risk projects, helping drive alignment and successful outcomes.
- Build alignment among cross-functional stakeholders on complex initiatives and embed scalable, practical legal and compliance solutions into business workflows.
- Translate complex legal concepts, risks, and requirements into clear, practical guidance for non-legal business partners and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes and operating models proactively, while responding effectively to new business needs and emerging issues.
- Mentor and guide teammates and partners through complex or unfamiliar challenges, helping elevate team capability, decision quality, and execution.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
- Anticipates issues before they arise, utilizing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex problems with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to business operations.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Leads high-stakes conversations on external calls comfortably, translating complex information clearly to both legal and non-legal audiences.
- Operates independently exercising sound judgment in decision-making while remaining comfortable with ambiguity and ever-changing circumstances.
- Manages multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Handles sensitive information in a highly confidential manner while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
