Telework options for this position are dependent on where the employee lives. The primary work location for this position is 443 Lafayette Road N, St. Paul, MN.

  • Employees living within 50 miles of the primary work location will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month.
  • Employees that live in Minnesota and are more than 50 miles from the primary work location may be eligible for more than 50% telework with agency approvals.
  • Employees may reside outside of the state of Minnesota if they live in a bordering state and are within 50 miles of the primary work location.

This position exists to coordinate and manage the annual voluntary prevailing wage survey and rate determination processes within the Prevailing Wage unit, Labor Standards Division, according to Minnesota Rules  – . It provides strong coordination, planning, communication and technical expertise to support efficient and effective internal governance and work processes.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the annual prevailing wage and construction truck operational cost surveys and processes for the Prevailing Wage Unit including the planning and execution of each phase of the process.
  • Process documentation, report creation and analysis, responding to data requests as directed.
  • Respond to questions regarding the survey process, engage with the public and third-party submitters through outreach and Gov Delivery messages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience
    * developing and implementing methods to collect and analyze data; measuring and evaluating procedures and processes to ensure they meet legal requirements.
OR
  • Three (3) years of technical/administrative experience
    * developing and implementing methods to collect and analyze data; measuring and evaluating procedures and processes to ensure they meet legal requirements.

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Applied Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field, may substitute for one year of experience;
Associates degree in Business, Project Management, Applied Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field, may substitute for six months of experience.

In addition to the above experience, applicants will be evaluated on and must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Skill in using Microsoft Office Suite programs, Access, and other application software.
  • Writing skills to develop or revise technical content of policies, procedures, forms, training documentation, technical manuals, reports, memorandum, correspondence, or other documents.
  • Communication skills to establish and maintain constructive, productive, and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the public.
