The position will be directly responsible for the collection of information and data for the purpose of determining operational parameters and standards for all ignition interlock devices. They will assist in the ongoing development of processes and procedures in relation to their position. The successful candidate must be able to travel reliably to investigate all manufacturers service centers and employees who service interlock devices to ensure compliance with operational standards/best practices according to guidelines.
They will investigate and follow through on all complaints in relation to manufacturers, devices, service center personnel, and operations. Will complete investigative reports documenting compliance of violations of manufacturers and/or service centers and testify as a witness of non-compliance that leads to criminal and/or civil court proceedings. Will assist with providing educational information and materials at conferences and meetings with law enforcement, judges, probation, attorneys, legislators, staff and the public.
This position requires statewide travel, including overnight stays and attendance at conferences, as applicable. The position requires one day per week working in the office, with the remaining four days dedicated to site visits. When site visits reach completion early with all required work completed, employees may work remotely from home for the remainder of the day if no required in office meetings are scheduled.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:
One (1) year of experience which includes the following
+ Experience auditing procedures sufficient to identify deficiencies and to recommend appropriate, corrective action.
+ Experience writing reports sufficient to document the results of investigations and/or interviews.
+ Experience working with complex federal and state laws, regulations and rules in order to determine compliance.
+ Ability to make decisions, multi-task, problem-solve, determine priorities, and work independently.
+ Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
+ Ability to maintain an active, valid, and applicable Class D (basic) driver's license
* An Associate's degree in Law enforcement program administration, Criminal Justice, or closely related field may substitute for six months of required experience.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in law enforcement program administration, criminal justice or related degree.
+ Experience conducting regulatory investigations, analyzing problems, offering potential solutions and taking appropriate action.
+ Knowledge of ignition interlock devices or other breath testing devices.
+ Ability to work independently while staying organized and effectively prioritizing time-sensitive tasks.
+ Excellent writing techniques.
