Lead a skilled team that works on track construction projects while driving safety, service, and productivity. Railway experience is preferred but 5+ years in thermite or flash butt welding is also ideal. A solid understanding of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) is essential for managing workflows effectively, and candidates with experience in construction or manufacturing management are encouraged to apply.

• Mentor an average of 12 direct reports to improve efficiency and hold accountability when needed
• Review planned capital work, confirm material, and execution requirements
• Ensure CPKC regulatory compliance for respective track projects
• Develop and implement work processes and changes that achieve continuous improvement
• Promote and ensure adherence to CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures across all team members, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
• Evaluate planned capital work, validate material readiness, and confirm execution strategies to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives

• High school diploma or general equivalency
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 2 years’ track experience
• 100% travel (expenses covered by CPKC), territory from St. Paul, MN to Bensenville, IL
• Capability to lead a project plan/schedule
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business  may be required to obtain a certification or maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
