Note to applicants:  This position is being posted at two classification levels:
Transportation Program Specialist 2 and Transportation Program Specialist 1. The vacancy is for a Transportation Program Specialist 2; however, if it is not filled at that level, it may be filled as a Transportation Program Specialist 1.

This position is located at district headquarters in Roseville and may have the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule that includes in office and teleworking time. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.

This is an integral position within MnDOT Metro District's Consultant Administration group, which administers approximately 150-200 contracts representing over $20-30 million in transportation investments.

This position provides district-wide support for the financial tracking/management of the Metro District Consultant Administration program. Under general supervision, this employee is responsible for assisting in ongoing analysis and financial reporting for district set-aside and consultant services funding received by the District, along with other funding sources, ensuring funds are used appropriately and effectively. This employee is responsible for working with functional units/sections in the development and fiscal management of professional technical (P/T) contracts that are advanced by Metro District Consultant Administration, District Offices and Metro District Leadership.

This position is one of the initial points of coordination for contract tracking and funding information and helps to manage Metro District's Consultant Allocation budget. This position also helps administer contracts for Metro District.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* ** Minimum Qualifications at the Transportation Program Specialist 2 level are as follows:*
* Two (2) years of professional level experience OR three years of technical experience performing the following responsibilities:

+ Budget management, financial analysis, accounting, or program support to perform financial tracking, budgeting, and/or contract administration duties.

+ Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data for reporting and decision making.

+ Document development and management, including drafting, reviewing and refining documents, formal correspondence, technical reports, proposals, or instructional materials.
