The International Institute of Minnesota (IIMN) is a dynamic organization that provides services to maximize the talents and opportunities New Americans bring to our state. IIMN assists low-income New Americans in their transition to a new homeland by providing comprehensive services for successful integration. IIMN serves more than 6,000 New Americans annually with new arrival social services to employment placement and advancement through to U.S. Citizenship attainment.
Programs are divided into four primary areas:
Refugee Services, Education and Employment Training Services, and Immigration Services. IIMN also provides advocacy for policy reforms and supports systems change that improve opportunities for New Americans to move their lives forward.
The Data & Evaluation Coordinator supports IIMN’s use of data and technology to improve program impact, staff effectiveness, and organizational decision-making. The position works closely with program leaders and staff to understand organizational needs, strengthen Microsoft Dynamics 365, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards in Power BI and other tools. The Coordinator serves as a key link between staff, leadership, and IIMN’s external Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant, translating organizational needs into system improvements and ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
This position works collaboratively with IIMN’s Data & Reporting Coordinator, whose primary focus is data reporting and government reporting compliance. Together, the two positions strengthen organization-wide data systems, reporting, data quality, and effective use of information.
- Administer and support the ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Customize forms, fields, workflows, and other CRM functions to meet program and organizational needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve staff workflows and program effectiveness through technology and system improvements.
- Troubleshoot routine CRM, data, and reporting issues and implement solutions when possible.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, system updates, and routine database administration.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for program staff, managers, and leadership.
- Create reports in Excel and other tools to support program management, evaluation, grants, and organizational reporting.
- Work with leadership to define key performance indicators and translate organizational goals into measurable data.
- Monitor data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across programs.
- Develop and maintain organization-wide data standards, definitions, and data governance practices.
- Conduct routine data quality reviews and work with staff to address gaps or inconsistencies.
- Develop a strong understanding of IIMN programs, services, workflows, and reporting requirements.
- Meet with staff to identify data and technology challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Manage projects with IIMN’s external Dynamics 365 consultant, including defining scope, requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ensure the consultant understands program needs and organizational goals and delivers high-quality work by established deadlines.
- Coordinate testing, staff feedback, implementation, and rollout of significant CRM changes.
- Collaborate closely with the Data & Reporting Coordinator on data quality, reporting, and organization-wide data needs.
