Senior Inspector – Highway Team

We are looking for a professional Senior Inspector to work alongside our technical experts to contribute to the development of new techniques and standards, mentor early professionals, and assist resident engineers and project administrators in completing inspection work in accordance with projects and client specifications.

• Inspect materials in accordance with the client’s scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions) and transport samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily operations and significant events, fulfilling other duties as needed.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Monitor and inspect the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with the client’s requirements.
• Inspect the contractor’s quality‑control procedures.
• Perform material testing and verify that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measure quantities of materials placed.
• May be required to perform sampling and/or in‑place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.

• Minimum of 10 years of DOT or Municipality CEI Inspection Services.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
• Aggregate Production Certification.
• Bituminous Street Certification.
• Bridge Construction knowledge.
• ACI Certification.
• Concrete Field Inspection experience.
• Grading and Base Tester.
• Grading and Base Inspector.
