Construction Project Manager (Progressive Build)
The Construction Project Manager (Progressive Build) is responsible for leading multi‑phase construction activities at Micron’s Clay, NY campus. This role manages schedule, cost, quality, and safety from pre‑construction through commissioning while ensuring full compliance with Micron standards and regulatory requirements. The position partners with architects, engineers, contractors, and operations teams to deliver production‑ready facilities using digital tools and progressive‑build methodologies.
Responsibilities- Lead multi‑phase construction projects from planning through execution, including scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and quality oversight.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional partners, contractors, and vendors to align project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations, and Micron EHS standards.
- Manage permitting, approvals, and interactions with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Utilize BIM, AI‑enabled progress tracking, Procore, and other digital tools to drive project efficiency.
- Lead coordination meetings, maintain clear communication, and provide project updates to leadership.
- Ensure appropriate documentation exists for scope changes, field conditions, and project impacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale industrial or semiconductor construction projects.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and make decisions with minimal oversight.
- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Certifications such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, BIM, and digital construction tools.
- Background in facilities, base‑build, or cleanroom construction.
- Strong negotiation, conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast‑paced environments.
