The Industrial Scheduler will primarily be responsible for maintaining schedules for industrial construction projects across our Midwest operations. Our team utilizes critical path scheduling along with Last Planner System methodology to track and maintain project progress from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:- Understand and implement accepted Planning & Scheduling best practices across all active projects.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and construction-related documents in preparation and acceptance of usable baseline schedules.
- Monitor project schedules being developed and updated by field and operations staff, providing technical support and guidance as necessary.
- Interact with the operations team and professionally represent the company to owners, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Utilize schedule analytics to identify and report on project trends, key milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Effectively cost-load and manpower-load schedules for use during project execution and tracking.
- Prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA) per recommended practices and accepted industry standards.
- Assist project teams to develop "what-if" scenarios to explore alternate sequencing, document delay impacts, and implement mitigation plans.
- Interact with project teams to define the scope of work to develop and update detailed progress schedules.
- Coordinate non-construction dependencies, including submittals, design cycles, long-lead procurement, and permitting timelines.
- Work with the project controls and field leadership teams to gather weekly work plans from subcontractors and update progress metrics.
- Participate in weekly subcontractor coordination meetings across various active project sites.
- Evaluate project schedule progress, earn value metrics, and contractor performance to proactively identify potential delay areas.
- Participate in Lean construction events, pull planning sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support departmental reporting, special executive requests, and project controls initiatives as required.
Required:
- Hands-on experience during the construction phase of the project lifecycle.
- Direct experience working as part of a Design-Build or EPC general contractor.
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining relationships with project owners, subcontractors, senior management, and field project teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation ability.
- 1+ years of Construction Industry experience, specifically within industrial, manufacturing, process, or commercial construction environments.
- Functional knowledge of Lean Construction practices, including pull planning, look-ahead schedules, and the Last Planner System.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 software for scheduling and baseline management.
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent scheduling certification is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, decision-making capability, and problem-solving skills.

Travel:
Minimal travel necessary (occasional site visits to regional project sites nationwide).
