Construction Administrator
We are seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the vital link between the design intent and construction reality, overseeing project execution to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. You'll be embedded in the construction process, working closely with Owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include managing construction administration services for multiple commercial projects simultaneously, attending construction OAC meetings, performing site observation visits, and preparing and distributing field reports. You'll review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other communications through Newforma plus other programs, if required. Ensuring construction is aligned with construction documents, codes, and specifications, acting as a liaison between the project team and the contractor to ensure smooth communication, collaborating with the project design team to resolve design issues that arise during construction, maintaining quality control and adherence to project budgets and schedules, monitoring the project construction schedule - document and track construction progress, and coordinating punch lists, substantial completion inspection and project close-out.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, or equivalent related experience, 5-15 years of experience in construction administration, strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and detailing, proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Newforma or similar construction administration software, architecture licensure or certification is a plus but not required, experience working within the healthcare and science & technology markets a plus, and travel required.
