Construction Project Manager

Langer Construction is currently seeking a PROJECT MANAGER to join our St. Paul team. Founded in 1946, Langer Construction is ever evolving in the changing commercial construction industry. Manage the overall financial health of projects:

• Ability to prepare final estimates and assist in preconstruction process.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections.
• Determine and allocate project estimate into financial system.
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment.
• Create monthly owner billings.

• Oversee budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers.
• Handle billings and contract management, including contract buyouts.
• Function as the main point of contact with the owner and superintendent.
• Resolve site concerns for the owner or representative.
• Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities – maintain owner relationships post construction.

• Determine when to submit to the owner.
• Obtain the customer/architect’s approval.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and related experience running construction projects with contract values between $5,000 and $15 million. Experience running multiple jobs of various sizes at once a plus.

• Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software – Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, and Sage Construction preferred.
• Understanding of value engineering, life cycle costing, and project profit/cost processes.
• Ability to travel to project work sites.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, monitoring results, and tackling problems directly with the project team.
• Written, oral, and listening skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects of various sizes and stages simultaneously under time constraints.
