Building Inspector is responsible for administering and assuring compliance with international residential building (IBC) codes and for performing plan reviews, maintaining and updating file records and notes on buildings as they are constructed.
Building Official is responsible for administering the operations of the inspection unit engaged in the conduct of plan reviews, field inspections and the monitoring and enforcement of international building codes, MN codes and local ordinances.
