STUDENT:
Digital Media Assistant
Support Faith Media's digital ministry by helping create, coordinate, and share engaging digital content that connects people across digital platforms.
Hours per week: 10
Create, edit, and publish engaging digital content across social media and other digital platforms.
Produce short-form videos, photography, graphics, and promotional assets that align with organization brand standards using approved creative tools and AI-assisted editing platforms.
Write, proofread, and optimize social media captions, hashtags, subtitles, and calls to action to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
Schedule and publish content, assist with maintaining the content calendar, and support the execution of digital campaigns, promotions, events, and giveaways.
Collaborate with department staff to develop creative concepts, content strategies, and audience engagement initiatives while researching industry trends and best practices.
Organize digital assets and content libraries, monitor social media interactions, and provide support for additional digital media, marketing, and administrative projects as assigned.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Experience creating digital content
Proficiency with social media and AI-assisted editing platforms
Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, courteous and tactful manner
Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern's mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
Independent & Teamwork:
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.

Organizational
Skills:
Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency:
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
Written & Verbal Communication:
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
Punctuality & Initiative:
Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
Background Check:
Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
