Vocal Music Director

FLC seeks a creative and collaborative Vocal Music Director to lead its welcoming, volunteer, non-auditioned choir of 10–20 singers. The director will plan and lead weekly rehearsals, direct worship music, collaborate with pastors, worship staff, and the organist, and select music that supports scripture, liturgical seasons, and the Revised Common Lectionary. The role encourages congregational singing and intergenerational participation while incorporating diverse global musical traditions.

Candidates should have choral directing experience, knowledge of worship music and Lutheran liturgy, and strong communication and organizational skills. A commitment to inclusion, justice, and progressive faith expression is highly valued. The position averages 3–5 hrs/wk, in a newly renovated sanctuary

$6,000–$8,000 annually, based on experience
