Job Overview
Cub Maplewood West is looking for a dedicated part‑time cashier to follow front‑end checkout procedures, maintain positive customer relations, and expedite processing of all orders. The role involves ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
Job Responsibilities- Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
- Perform product scanning and processing of customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly
- Process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately
- Assist with customer questions or requests
- Maintain and clean the front‑end area
- Operate equipment such as scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.
- Stand for extended periods
- Memorize, read, write, and perform basic math
- Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service with ongoing customer interaction
- Exercise good judgment; supervise may not always be immediately available
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
- Work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Be at least 18 years old
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, and repetitive motions
- Evenings until 12:00am
