Commercial Responsibilities:
* Perform architectural design and documentation work for projects involving construction of new buildings, additions and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities.
* Collaborate with project teams to develop architectural designs, drawings, and specifications.
* Provides support to Project Designer and/or Project Architect through all phases of the project.
* Assist in the preparation of design presentations, renderings, and models. Assists with analyses of design layout, planning and occupancy studies.
* Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and design concepts.
* Focus on document production through all project phases and developing proficiency in assembling a set of documents.
* Work with the project team to ensure that the overall design intent is incorporated into the detailed documentation.
* Accurately completing redline revisions on details, plan, sections, and elevations
* Assists with code research and analysis.
* Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and others to integrate input into the project design.
* Perform Construction Administration under supervision.
* Gain an understanding of the shop drawing review process and participate as directed by the PA or PM.
* Understands the legal nature of RFI's and construction project questions and works closely with the PA or PM to support the response to questions.
* Perform project tasks with an understanding of scope, schedule, and budget criteria.
* Coordinates and communicates regularly with managers, consultants, and team members regarding project status; ensures work meets clients' requirements.
* Stay updated on industry trends, building codes and best practices in architecture.
* May be asked to mentor or direct the work of less experienced staff, participate in professional development reviews and "Lessons Learned" sessions.
* Foster a commitment to external and internal client services.
Qualifications:
* 3 to 8+ years of relevant experience
* Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microso<
Office Suite required.
Experience with Rendering software a plus.
* Competent in all conventional aspects of architecture with a good understanding of architectural principles, practices and concepts.
* Ability to work from designs/drawings of others to prepare architectural plans and renderings, with a good design sense and the proven ability to produce and share successful design ideas using digital media and other tools.
* Good communication skills, team oriented, self-driven work ethic and ability to meet fast paced project demands.
* Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed with some guidance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
