The Residential Connection Interns are a part of the Residential Connection Team (RCT), supervised by the Living Learning Programs Manager and Graduate Residential Connection Coordinator. Working alongside the Residence Life team of Community Directors, Graduate Hall Directors, and Resident Assistants, the Residential Connection Team collaborates to create opportunities that emphasize resident student engagement and connection.
Residential Connection Interns will plan events for residential students and assist in coordinating Living Learning Community (LLC) activities throughout the academic year. Interns will plan events both on and off-campus, on weekdays and weekends. The Residential Connection Team works to build a fun inclusive, engaging, and welcoming community for all residential students. What are you waiting for? Submit your application today!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Brainstorm, plan, publicize, execute, and attend Residential Connection Events
* Events will meet the diverse needs and interests of the residential community mas
* Over the course of the year, all residents will be excited to attend and engage with RCT events
* Collaborate with faculty and staff to coordinate LLC events and engagement opportunities
* Be present and actively engaged with the residential community
* Complete appropriate administrative responsibilities
* Meet 1:1 with supervisor on a bi-weekly basis and attend regular team meetings
* Hold office hours
* Build collaborative relationships with appropriate offices and student organizations
* Attend all education & development opportunities as expected by your supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
* Generally available for evening and weekend events throughout the 26-27 academic year (can have flexibility for students who wish to study abroad in Spring 2027)
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
