St. Catherine University invites application for a twelve (12) month administrative faculty assignment, appointed for a three-year academic term focusing on Faculty, Students & Strategic Initiatives for our School of Liberal Arts, Business, and Leadership. Upon conclusion of the assignment, the course release will end and the faculty member's teaching load will return to the standard instructional expectation. This appointment may be renewed for a second term.
The Associate Dean for Faculty, Students & Strategic Initiatives works at the direction of the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, Business, and Leadership. This position focuses on providing project leadership and personnel support to the Dean, with the goal of enhancing academic programs and supporting the development of students and faculty. Support for policy interpretation and process compliance is also part of the role.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in an academic department, discipline, or core curriculum
- Participate in departmental and school activities
- Engage in scholarly activities, and (for TT faculty) scholarship
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and high-impact teaching practices
- Lead academic innovation and new program development
- Oversee curricular planning and program assessment
- Coordinate faculty recruitment, promotion, and review processes
- Support faculty growth through mentoring, workshops, and leadership development
- Partner on student engagement, leadership, and well-being initiatives.
- Serve as Dean's Office liaison for student concerns and grievances.
- Advance school DEIB goals in pedagogy and student experience

Compensation
This is a 12-month administrative faculty assignment, appointed for a three-year academic term, compensated at the faculty member's current base rate. The assignment includes a 50% course release and a $3,000 annual stipend. Upon conclusion of the assignment, the course release will end and the faculty member's teaching load will return to the standard instructional expectation. This appointment may be renewed for a second term.
The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
