About St. Paul Academy And Summit School
St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college-preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in Prekindergarten through grade 12. Our three campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our Goodrich Campus serves students in grades K-5, and our Randolph Campus serves students in grades 6-12. Our Prekindergarten is located on the campus of St.
Catherine’s University and serves children beginning at age 4. The school draws students from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and throughout the eastern and western suburbs.

Salary Range: $128,000 - $138,000

St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for a PreK-12 Director of Intercultural Life. This is a full-time, in-person position beginning July 1, 2026. Aligned with our mission statement, we strive to achieve excellence in academics by tending to the environments and mindsets that enable students to engage with and work through differences in healthy, productive ways. St. Paul Academy and Summit School strives to support students in developing skills that promote collaboration and understanding diverse perspectives, opinions, values, experiences, and identities.
The Director of Intercultural Life plays a crucial role in shaping a community where inclusivity, pluralism, and a high regard for the value of diversity and equity are paramount to our school program and learning community. The Director of Intercultural Life collaborates across all constituencies and may provide consultative services to the student support teams, classroom teachers, and parents and guardians.
The Director of Intercultural Life reports to the Head of School. The Director of Intercultural Life is charged with defining and directing institutional diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives and policies in consultation with the Leadership Team. The Director oversees DEIB professional development, supports the student experience at school through an equity and inclusion lens, and engages in community outreach to support initiatives in student and family programming, athletics, communications, admissions, recruiting, retention, and community partnerships.
Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish a supportive and engaging environment for students and to work collaboratively with parents/guardians, faculty/staff, and community partners. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a desire for ongoing professional development and growth, and experience working within diverse communities and across cultural differences. Additionally, candidates should have an in-depth understanding of identity development in children and adolescents.
