OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE:
Center of Applied Mathematics (CAM) Summer Researcher 2026
LOCATION:
St. Paul Campus
PAY RATE: $17.00/hour
HOURS:
Between 10 and 20 hours per week
JOB SUMMARY:
The CAM Summer Research Program funds students to work with faculty advisors on a research project during the summer. The program will run from June 1st through August 14th. You will be expected to give two presentations as well as to create a poster of your research. You will be expected to work between 10 and 20 hours per week, the exact number of hours per week depends on the project.
This job pays $17 per hour. There are mandatory events on June 1st (introduction meeting), June 23rd (introductory research talk), and August 6th (symposium). You will be expected to present talks about your project on June 23rd and August 6th as well as create a poster, which is due on August 14th. QUALIFICATIONS
* SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS ON
HOW TO APPLY:
* Student must have completed, by March 30, 2026, the initial internal CAM application
* If you were accepted into a project you must complete this application by May 31st, 2026
* You must be a St. Thomas undergraduate interested in STEM
* You must complete the courses required (the courses depend on the project)
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
