Program Overview
The Community Technology Empowerment Project is an Ameri Corps program managed by the St. Paul Neighborhood Network. Since 2004 CTEP has mobilized over 500 Ameri Corps members to teach basic digital literacy skills to nearly 55,000 low‑income adults and youth, empowering them to navigate technology confidently, allowing them to access information, communicate effectively, manage their digital presence, and make informed decisions in today’s tech‑driven world.
CTEP Ameri Corps anticipates placing 20 members with 18 nonprofit organizations and libraries in Minneapolis and St. Paul. SPNN and CTEP comply with federal and state disability laws and make reasonable accommodations for applicants and candidates with disabilities. Ameri Corps prohibits all forms of discrimination and harassment based on the protected categories of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability (mental or physical), political affiliation, marital or parental status, pregnancy, reprisal, genetic information (including family medical history), or military service.
