GOAL STATEMENT:
The Sanneh Foundation (TSF) is a 501(c)(3) serving the various needs of Minnesota's low-income youth and their families. The Resource & Enrollment Coordinator VISTA will build the capacity of TSF by streamlining outreach and enrollment tracking and creating logistical frameworks for sports and workforce programming. By alleviating administrative barriers and coordinating resource navigation, the VISTA will increase access to high-quality programming for low-income youth and families, supporting their path toward economic stability and self-sufficiency
Develop an in-depth understanding of the mission and services offered by TSF, specifically how the Programming Department and Workforce Development programs overlap to serve low-income populations
- Participate in the TSF on-site orientation, including history, mission, core values, and department introductions
- Meet with the Sports Program Director(s) and Workforce staff to understand current enrollment pipelines for summer camps and year-round initiatives
- Review existing program literature, data reporting processes, and partner agency relationships
- Meet with the Sports Program Director(s) and Workforce staff to understand current enrollment pipelines for summer camps and year-round initiatives.
- Identify professional development resources related to youth development, program management, and community resource navigation
Support and enhance outreach and enrollment tracking to increase the visibility of recreation programs and reduce barriers for youth participants
- Coordinate with Sports Program Director(s) to conduct and document community outreach for summer camps and all-season recreation programming
- Develop and implement strategies to increase program enrollment and strengthen relationships with local schools and community stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with the Workforce Development team to streamline the transition and enrollment of youth participants between workforce and recreation tracks
- Provide regular reports on outreach efficacy and enrollment trends to ensure continuous program improvement
Design educational resources focused on sustainability while improving the logistical execution of recreational camps and events
- Develop a curriculum focused on recreation, sustainability, and the creative reuse of materials (upcycling) to be used in youth programming
- Create logistic guides for TSF sports programming and summer camp preparation to ensure efficient site management and application navigation.
- Collaborate closely with the Workforce Development team to support the transition of youth participants between recreation and workforce tracks
- Support resource navigation for youth and families by identifying and connecting them to wrap-around services, such as housing, food support, or computer literacy resources
Ensure the long-term success of recreation and stewardship initiatives by formalizing all processes and curriculum into a sustainable format.
- Finish thorough documentation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compile a resource library regarding application navigation, outreach scripts, and logistical execution FAQ's.
- Develop a comprehensive handbook of materials that can be utilized by the organization to sustain these new systems after the VISTA term ends.
- Train Foundation staff and interns on the new curriculum and outreach tools to ensure consistent program quality across all sites.
