Art Teacher
Provide classroom instruction in Art to K-8 students
Develops and administers art education curriculum consistent with school goals and objectives as well as the Minnesota state standards for art education. Uses culturally responsive instruction. Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by school procedures and applicable laws. Communicate with parents regarding the program goals, classroom activities and student progress.
Provide a safe classroom environment for students. Collaborate with grade-level teams, administrators, and other staff to ensure the success of students. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: A valid Minnesota teaching license in visual arts. Successful elementary or middle school teaching experience preferred.

Ability to implement creative and innovative teaching strategies. Good organizational skills. Flexibility relating to student and program needs. Effective oral and written communication skills. Work cooperatively with parents as educational partners. Commitment to the philosophy that all children can learn. Commitment to teamwork within an educational setting.
