St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks a full‑time, one‑year position for Upper School Spanish teacher for the 2026‑27 school year. The position includes a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. The teacher will teach four sections in the World Languages department and advise a group of 8‑10 Upper School students. The core curriculum includes Spanish I‑V, and offers electives in several advanced Spanish topics to students who have completed the sequential courses.

World Language teachers in grades 6‑12 at SPA work closely together and often have crossover students and teachers between the Middle School and the Upper School, so experience working with students between ages 11‑14 is a plus.

• Teach four sections (typically 12‑16 students) of Upper School Spanish.
• Collaborate with other teachers on the teaching team to ensure alignment.
• Evaluate student work according to departmental and teaching team standards.
• Contribute to curriculum development and other departmental and divisional work.
• Lead an advisory group of 8‑10 Upper School students.
• Participate fully in the life of the Upper School with occasional leadership or chaperoning responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, Secondary Spanish Education, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching or working with adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability and desire to collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership.
• Support for the Upper School’s mission and vision, and openness to professional growth.
