Starting Salary Range $19.57/hr### Description Saint Joseph Catholic School  is currently seeking a part-time preschool assistant to provide for the academic, social, emotional and spiritual support for our preschool students for the 2026-27 school year.  Preschool assistants work collaboratively with teachers and students; supporting learning needs, supervising children, and preparing materials as needed.  The ideal candidate is a flexible “team player” who demonstrates a love of faith and commitment to working with the youngest learners in our community

* An understanding of, commitment to, and passion for the mission of Catholic education as defined by the Church and demonstrated integrity as a credible witness of the Catholic faith and a commitment to academic excellence as an essential component of authentic and integral Catholic education.
* Ability to contribute to a culture of: (1) faith in Christ and His Church that is mature, informed, accountable, and dynamically missionary; (2) respect for the dignity, freedom, responsibility, and social vocation of the human person made in God’s image; and (3) human excellence reinforced through high, yet reasonable expectations for learning and for virtuous interactions among all members of the school community.
* The ability to work with preschool students (age 4-5), demonstrating a love of children and the ability to provide safety and structure in the classroom environment.
* Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
