Job Details

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (communication, education, social work, education, psychology, etc.) Five (5) years of full-time experience leading higher education (or higher education adjacent) initiatives related to student development, student engagement, residential living, and leadership development.
  • Demonstrated experience of supervising full-time professional staff
  • Demonstrated positive impacts across diverse populations with culturally relevant program development and administration, staff training and supervision, leadership, decision-making, budget management, and ability to work effectively in a team relationship.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with proficiency in analytical and critical thinking with the ability to make decisions following appropriate consultation.
  • Higher education experience related to working within student affairs units such as residence life, student activities, and campus events.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field (communication, higher education administration, counseling, social work, education, psychology, etc.)
  • 2-3 years supervising full time staff, volunteers, and student employees
  • Experience related to managing several divergent tasks simultaneously, managing change, and advising student organizations.
  • Experience with collegiate housing, residential life and effective supervisory experience is highly desirable.
