Special Education Teacher

Make a difference in students’ lives by supporting individualized learning needs in a school community dedicated to growth and inclusion. Two full-time Special Education Teacher opportunities are available for the upcoming school year, focusing on resource roles with manageable caseloads of 20–30 students. These contract positions are ideal for educators eager to foster an encouraging environment and collaborate closely with staff, families, and students.

Positions to be filled:

• One at the elementary level
• One mixed (upper elementary with some secondary students)

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher license (T2-T4 ABS, Autism preferred; open to other SPED areas)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to manage and develop IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passion for creating inclusive, supportive classroom settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support and instruction for students with varying educational needs
• Maintain an assigned caseload of 20–30 students, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals
• Participate in staff development the week of 8/24 and 8/31 to prepare for the school year beginning 9/8
