Job Description Saint Paul College seeks energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for 2 unlimited, full-time (1.0) Cosmetology Instructor positions. The instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to instructional planning & curriculum development, teaching & learning, instructional facilitation, student evaluation, student records, student recruitment, retention and advising, student placement, classroom preparation and management, interpersonal relations, effective team member skills and duties, maintenance of professional skills and credentials.

Salary Range:
Please note that the full salary range for a nine-month, academic year appointment is $43,067 - $94,542; initial salary placement for new Minnesota State College faculty is between $43,067 and $71,893, depending on academic credentials and years of creditable professional experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma in cosmetology
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a cosmetologist
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Cosmetology instructor license from the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology Examiners
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary cosmetology teaching experience
Experience teaching college students who are: first generation, English language learners, culturally, racially, linguistically, academically and neuro-diverse.
Documented experience with evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices and course designs for in-person, online, asynchronous, and blended/hybrid delivery models.
An understanding of the community college mission and its unique student population
