The Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota (St. Paul campus) invites applications for a temporary teaching opportunity involving direct instruction and course leadership. The successful candidate will serve as the course coordinator and primary instructor for a core course in pharmacology to veterinary students. This is an in-person teaching role with coordination activities being hybrid.
On campus presence is required during instruction.
Appt Term – temporary December 2026-May 2027
- A doctoral degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, or a closely related discipline. Appropriate terminal degrees may include a PhD, DVM, PharmD, MD, or equivalent degree;
- Experience teaching pharmacology or a closely related biomedical discipline at the university level;
- The ability to communicate complex pharmacological and pharmacotherapeutic concepts effectively to veterinary students
Experience as a course coordinator, teaching in a veterinary professional program, developing curricula or assessments, or providing educational leadership is preferred.
